Who We Are?

The Little Urban Centre (LUC) Education Group started preparations for the founding of Future Grow Academy (FGA) six years ago in 2013. During the process of preparation, FGA has been attracting attention from well-educated families with high aspirations for their children and those with an international outlook.

FGA is set in a purpose-built Early Years setting where we believe the environment is the third teacher and when used correctly it encourages children to become active and motivated learners who develop into lifelong learners with a multitude of skills. Our facility is equipped with a unique STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) lab, and Atelier – where children can explore their creative side. Each individual classroom has access to both indoor and outdoor learning, providing children with excellent opportunities to let them further explore, investigate and develop their skills.

Learning areas and resources are carefully planned and implemented, to enable children to take charge of their own learning and follow their interests as well as collaborate with their peers in solving problems.

Language is at the heart of learning, FGA is a bilingual school and this is one of the four cornerstones, ‘Fully Immersed Bilingual Environment’, that govern our teaching and decision making. It is a foundation for inspiring our children and provides powerful opportunities to strengthen children’s cognitive abilities through rich language exposure throughout each and every day. Strong thinking skills, increased ability to focus and reason as well as greater social and cultural awareness are all at the forefront of language acquisition.

Lucian’s Values

We view all our school community as learners and through providing a broad and balanced international and bilingual curriculum we aim to become:

Curious Inquirers – We nurture our curiosity, developing skills for inquiry and research. We know how to learn independently and with others. We learn with enthusiasm and sustain our love of learning throughout life.

Reflective Thinkers – We use critical and creative thinking skills to analyse and take responsible action on complex problems. We work to understand our strengths and weaknesses in order to support our learning and personal development.

Open-minded Communicators – We express ourselves confidently and creatively in more than one language and in many ways. We collaborate effectively, listening carefully to the perspectives of other individuals and groups. We seek and evaluate a range of points of view, and we are willing to gain experience and grow into a better future.

Risk takers – We approach uncertainty with forethought and determination; we work independently and cooperatively to explore new ideas and innovative strategies. We are persevering and resilient in the face of challenges and change.

Responsible Citizens – We act with integrity and honesty and we take responsibility for our actions and their consequences. We show empathy, compassion and respect. We understand the importance of balancing different aspects of our lives–intellectual, physical and emotional–to achieve well-being for ourselves and others. We act to make a positive difference in the lives of others and in the world around us.
